Emily Canedy

Ms. Canedy teaches Third Grade at NorthPoint. She is entering her second year teaching here, but her eighth year of teaching overall. She has her BA in Elementary Education as well as her MA in Education of Teaching and Learning. Emily has also obtained Orton-Gilingham training for math and phonics which has given her many opportunities, both in tutoring and teaching in the classroom, to target specific learning needs with students who have dyslexia. It’s her desire to not only educate students academically but, most importantly, spiritually. Ms. Canedy has a passion for the next generation and  is dedicated to her goal of knowing Christ and making Christ known to her students. She feels so privileged to be able to live out her life-long dream of teaching and is thankful to the Lord for allowing her this opportunity. When not teaching, she is usually with her dog, Tucker, or at the nearest coffee shop.
